What is in the mind of God for His people in this season is for them to cross from the night season into the day (Romans 13:12). God created the light to separate the night from the day. The sun to govern the day and the moon and stars, the night (Genesis 1:4,5,16).
In the spiritual realm, the night symbolizes the season of Christ; a season wherein the revelation of Christ is being taught and where men grow up into Christ; who is the star of the night.
We are currently standing at the border into the daylight but we can only come into the day by the help of God. What ushers a people from the night (Christ) into the day light (God) is by listening to and taking heed to the speakings of God at His season. God created the night and day by His word and what divides the night from the day is the allocation of the word of God (Genesis 1:3-5). Therefore, only by the word of God can this transition be possible.
God divided the light; the lesser light to rule the night and the greater light to rule the day (Genesis 1:16). What constitutes the day is the greater light and we are in the season where the greater light is being unveiled to us (Isaiah 60:1-2).
The light of the day is the glory of God (Isaiah 60:2) which is responsible for the formation of the incorruptible and divine nature in us. In this season, the Lord desires to move us from a season of lesser light to one of greater light, wherein we experience the glory of God. The glory of God is exclusive to the city of God (Revelation 21:23-24). The glory is in the light.
There are two appearances of Christ (Hebrews 9:28). The first appearance of Christ was for the remission of sins and this was typified by his life, death, burial and resurrection. This appearance is what provides the revelation of the doctrine of Christ; the teaching of faith, Hope and charity. After sin has been remitted, the second appearance is for the purpose of salvation unto them who look for His second appearance (Hebrews 9:28). The second appearance marks the dawning of the light of the day and this appearance can only be enacted after sins have been remitted. Only a soul that has received (or is actively receiving) remission of sins can engage the greater light for the salvation of his/her soul. The greater light can gradually be allocated even when a soul is still using the lesser light.
The first appearance of Christ offers salvation from sin while the second appearance offers salvation from death, (Hebrews 5:7). The first light (first appearance) takes away sins and raises a man above temptation to be made ready for the greater light which saves from death. Salvation from death is to be made incorruptible.
In this season, we must engage both the lesser light and the greater light thoroughly by perfecting the understandings, commandments and instructions that each light brings.
The understanding and commandments of the night and day lights are for the purpose of repentance and turning towards Christ and God respectively (Revelation 2:5). Bearing forth fruit worthy of repentance is an evidence of repentance. Anytime repentance takes place, a friut commensurate to repentance is borne; fruits of godliness and divine nature.
